Privacy
AppraiseTrail is in an invitation-only Closed Alpha. Approved organizations receive a private, organization-scoped workspace and may use it for real appraisal cases. Invited users receive a personal account tied to their organization and see only their own workspace. Case and confidential information belongs only inside that authenticated workspace — never in public request forms, the public sample case, or support messages.
What we store
- Your sign-in email and authentication metadata.
- Your organization membership, role, and access status.
- Non-sensitive product activity events (sign-in, demo started, feature opened).
- Any feedback you explicitly submit.
Assisted extraction and AI processing
Estimates offer an optional “Extract from source” action. Availability is controlled by your organization owner or administrator, and it runs only when a user explicitly starts it. When you do, a copy of the source document pinned to that estimate draft is sent through AppraiseTrail’s configured third-party AI processing service so its figures can be transcribed back to you as proposals.
AppraiseTrail does not separately append case, claim, policyholder, or user identifiers as request metadata. The source document itself is transmitted as uploaded and may contain identifying or confidential information present in that document.
The source document, not the extraction, remains the authoritative record. The service returns proposed values only; nothing is written to an estimate until a person reviews and applies it. Provider retention and model-training terms are recorded in our internal governance notes; organizations that prefer not to send source documents to a third-party service should leave the capability disabled.
What we do not store
- Case content you did not upload to your own organization workspace.
- Any case or confidential information submitted through public forms — those forms are for access requests only.
